Meridian Industrial has opened a new advanced materials research and production facility in São Paulo, its third major facility investment in Brazil in the past four years.
The 40,000 square meter facility will produce composite materials for aerospace and automotive clients across South America, reducing shipping lead times that previously required components to be sourced from Meridian’s North American plants.
“Regional production close to our LATAM client base has been the single biggest lever on delivery times we’ve pulled in years,” said the facility’s newly appointed plant director.
The facility is expected to reach full production capacity by the second quarter of FY2027 and will employ approximately 850 people at full staffing.
